Crust
Pizza is a really fun dish. It takes time to make a good pizza but it is well worth it. A pizza is made in the crust! After you have created several pizza and have the idea see what you can come up with! Dough making is a science little changes to the dough can really change it!
4 ½ cups flour (use the kind made for a bread machine)
1 teaspoons salt
2 shot glasses of GOOD olive oil
1 3/4 cup water,
instant yeast
cornmeal for dusting
First off needing dough takes forever! With time and muscles it can be done, if you have it then go for it. Start with a paddle mixer put all the stuff together except the corn mil (flour can also work). When it looks like play dough change the paddle fo the bread hook Fun fact, spray the mixing boil, paddle and hook with non stick spray, doing this will make clean up faster. Hook for at least 15 min on med. Olive oil the boil, cover with plastic rap. Cover and put in the fridge do this the night before is best, dough is worth taking time. The next day cut dough in half flatten to get read of big bubbles and folds then roll into a ball with hands so that there are no lines this is important because if you do not you will have a split in your crust. Don’t use a rolling pin it will not make a good pizza crust, fingers work best. Let crust sit if you like fluffier crust for 15-20 min Put a little flour or corn mill on a cutting board flatten the ball with fingers. Add a small amount of sauce only a couple spoon fulls, any canned pasta sauce will do use what you have. Sprinkle Italian herbs on sauce if you want and pour a little olive oil on what will be the crust a little garlic salt will also improve the crust. Add cheese and what ever you can imagine on top. If you have a cooking stone (pizza stone) you can get a nice crispy crust. A metal cooky cooling rack work to, but a stone is best.. Cook at 375 ish till lightly brown.
